These paper works were made during the first term of my MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art. They sit alongside larger studio paintings and function as sites of testing — for colour, rhythm, gesture, and material — allowing ideas to surface quickly and intuitively.

The works draw on a deepening engagement with Welsh ancestry and myth, particularly the concept of the Otherworld (Annwn) as a permeable realm that exists alongside the everyday. Caves, stone, tides, and fire recur as maternal thresholds — spaces of transformation, holding, and return.
